Hometown: Tampa, Florida
Currently resides: North Attleboro, Massachusetts
What ADLI means to me: ADLI’s combination of performing, teaching, dance history, and movement analysis is the perfect storm for me. I love ADLI’s dedication to the heritage of modern dance and feel privileged to be a part of passing on the tradition.
Education/training: I have always been a mover. I spent my elementary and middle school years as a gymnast and my high school years as a cheerleader. I took my first modern dance class at 19 and knew I had found my passion. I received my BFA from Florida State University and spent six summers studying at the White Mountain Summer Dance Festival. I am also a certified Pilates Instructor.
Professional experience: Before joining Dancing Legacy, I worked with several independent choreographers in New York City and spent two years with Bosoma Dance Company in Boston. I currently teach at the Dancing Arts Center in Holliston, Massachusetts.
Outside of dance: I spend most of my time hanging out my with 3 awesome kids. Avery (8), Adelle (5), and Ruby (3) are true movers and shakers and are a constant source in inspiration! They keep me humble and I’m truly blessed to be able to watch them constantly change and grow right along with them.
About my home: Six years ago my husband Russell and I purchased a time capsule 1956 mid century style ranch home. We have developed such an appreciation for that time period that we have decorated it in the style the home was born in. Any renovation we have made have keeps with the style of the home, using authentic materials whenever possible. It’s become a real passion for both of us.
On my bucket list: I have always wanted to learn to play the piano. All too soon, I’ll have lots of free time to do it.
